映画「The Acid House」のサントラです。
"Trainspotting" 同様、イギリスのドラッグ・サブカルチャーを題材にした
３部構成（The Granton Star Cause / A Soft Touch / The Acid House）の映画です。
Primal Scream、oasis、the verve といった、まさに Brit Pop の象徴とも
言うべきバンドから、知る人ぞ知る The Gyres（ザ・ジャイアズ／
覚えている人いますかね？）まで、さらには、Beth Orton、T-Rex 、
The Pastels 等、まさにスクランブル状態です。
注目は、Underworld が手掛けた The Chemical Brothers の "Leave Home" です。
oasis も映画サントラに楽曲参加というのは、この後幾つかありますが、
この映画には "Going Nowhere" という、"Stand By Me" 収録のマニアックな曲
で参加しています。
